Polish Chickens

I mentioned my one exotic chick that we received with our order of Blue red laced Wyandotte.  We watched and watched the sweet little yellow chick to see what it would turn out to be.  Within a few weeks feathers grew on the head and every one thought silky but the feathers are long feathers and not don’t look at all like the feathers on the head of a silky.

Well out comes the web search and there the chick was: Polish Chicken.  Here is an exert from Wikipedia that I thought was interesting. Screenshot_374

I have noticed that this little chicken is quiet adventurist and does indeed seem like it would be less liking to want to sit and lay eggs.  When this chick was small it told me every-time it needed new water or food.  It is a clever chicken.
