Cook House

The Cook House in Alexandria peaking through the trees.  This photo taken by Karen Smith from Bolton Ave.  This house was put on the historic registry in November 1979 because of its architecture.  It was built in 1904 by a Sherman Cook.  It remains privately own today.

I am including a drawing from flickr by Keith LaCour.   The building style is Queen Ann and when you see this house in person you are very charmed.

This is a shot of the house through grown oak trees from Monroe St.  I loved the angle for the porches and the pretty ribbon trim on the tower.   If you are ever in Alexandria LA  drive by 222 Florence and take a look at this beauty for yourself.
